The county seat of Johnson County, Cleburne is an undiscovered treasure of a town just 20 minutes south of Fort Worth via the newly-opened Chisholm Trail Parkway. Cleburne residents love to swim, boat, fish and picnic at Lake Pat Cleburne while golfers enjoy playing at Cleburne Golf Links, which overlooks the lake. You'll find gorgeous homes and beautiful home sites to build on surrounding the lake as some homes suffered damage during the tornado of 2013. With a population of just over 30,000, Cleburne is the home of friendly people and lots of entertainment. People come from miles around to attend shows like "Oklahoma," "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" or "Little Women" at Plaza Theatre Company, which are performed every single Thursday-Saturday of the year. An up and coming arts community, another theatre company, The Greater Carnegie Players also performs shows, like "Les Miserables," "Arsenic and Old Lace" or "Into the Woods" several times a year. Each year, it's a Christmas tradition to attend one or both of the theatre companies' Christmas productions, like "It's a Wonderful Life" or "A Christmas Carol." Building is also almost completed for the new minor league baseball stadium for the Cleburne Railroaders baseball team, which will open in 2017 and will also be the hub for new restaurants and shopping in Cleburne. If you're looking for great home values or some land with your home and you want an easy commute to Fort Worth, you won't find a better place to move for the money!
